NATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY, 2024. TOPIC: SHOW THE DIFFERENCE (STAND OUT), WOMEN LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE

TEXT: Matthew 5:16, John 3:19-21
Matthew 5:16 – 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

John 3:19-21 – 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Introduction:
God is the father of light. God is the father of light because He Himself is light. He is the creator of light and the embodiment of all that is light (Gen. 1:3).
The world is full of darkness, but we can make a difference by letting the light of the God shine in a world of darkness as a daughter of our Father in heaven, as a worthy daughter of Zion and a worthy AG WM member with the mind of Christ.

(a) As AG women
1. Let your light so shine before men.
2. Let your light shine before the youth.
3. Let your light shine in your Home.
4. Let your light shine in your Church.
5. Let your light shine in your work place.
6. Let your light shine in the market place.

(B) Hindrances to light
1. Sin (Rom.3:23) – 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
2. Materialism/worldliness.
3. Social/peer pressure.
4. Technology and Information.
5. Poverty/hardship.
6. Deceptions/Jealousy.
7. Delay.
8. Moral and ethical values.
9. Doubts/fear.
10. Compromise (James 4:17) – 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

(C) How to shine your light
1. By reading and knowing the Word of God (Psalm 119;105) – 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
2. By being peaceful (Matthew 5:9) – 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
3. Always be at peace at home, market, workplace and neighborhood.
4. By raising Godly children and being good to your husband.
5. By showing Love to all (unconditionally).
6. By forgiving – forgiving those that wrong you.
7. By living like Christ (Phil.2:5) – 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Having the mind of Christ in:
(1) Humility.
(2) Service.
(3) Doing good.
(4) Prayer and Evangelism.

(d) The benefits of walking in the light:
1. We will have communion/fellowship with God.
2. Our life will experience transformation: we are transformed into the image of God. Our thoughts, patterns, speech and lifestyle will be like Christ.
3. Fellowship with one another.
4. Our sins will be cleansed.
5. Our spirituality changes.
6. It will bring peace.
7. It will direct us.
8. Holiness and righteousness.
9. Love and compassion.
10. Eternal life: Ultimately, it leads us to the promise of eternal life with God in heaven.
11. Protection from darkness and sin.
12. Blessing: A daily walk in the light brings blessing in our lives.

Conclusion:
Let your light so shine till you make a difference. Don’t follow the crowd, stand out, remain unquenchable.
