AN ENGAGING YOUTH DISCUSSION

The Youth Ministries of Assemblies of God Church, Ojoo 1, warmly invites all young men, young ladies, and members of the church to an exciting and thought-provoking edition of “Youth Let’s Talk!”
This edition will address an important question that deserves honest conversation, godly wisdom, and practical understanding:
“ARE TODAY’S YOUNG MEN READY FOR TODAY’S YOUNG LADIES?”
In a world where relationships, expectations, career ambitions, financial responsibilities, and personal values continue to evolve, are young men adequately prepared for the responsibilities that come with meaningful relationships? What does it truly mean to be a responsible, mature, and God-fearing man? Likewise, what qualities should young ladies cultivate as they prepare for healthy, purposeful, and God-centred relationships?
This interactive session will provide an opportunity for young people to share their perspectives, ask meaningful questions, challenge misconceptions, and learn from one another in an atmosphere of respect, openness, and Christian love.
Our discussion will explore:
- Spiritual maturity: The importance of putting God first in relationships.
- Emotional maturity: Developing self-control, patience, understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Responsibility and readiness: Understanding commitment, accountability, and the responsibilities that accompany relationships.
- Financial and personal stability: The importance of diligence, planning, purposeful living, and responsible financial management.
- Character and integrity: Building relationships on honesty, respect, faithfulness, and godly values.
- Mutual expectations: Understanding what young men and young ladies should reasonably expect from one another.
- Preparing for the future: Becoming the kind of person who can contribute positively to a healthy, supportive, and Christ-centred relationship.
📖 Scriptural Foundation: Proverbs 4:7 (KJV)
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

This scripture reminds us that meaningful relationships require more than attraction or outward appearance; they require wisdom, understanding, character, and spiritual growth.
We also encourage every young person to reflect on 1 Timothy 4:12, which calls young believers to be examples in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.
