TOPIC: DAILY LIFE OF A CHRISTIAN (A BELIEVER)

TEXT: Acts 11:20-26; 1Corinthians 6:16,17; James 1:22; 1Peter 2:11-12; 1Timothy 4:12

Definition: Life of a believer is a life lived in Christ as believers to show the world who Jesus Christ is through our personal life style.

How to work with God daily:

1. Check your faith and relationship with Christ daily by studying the Word of God. 2 Timothy 2:15 (¹⁵ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.)
2. Praying and seeking the face of God daily. 2Timothy 4:1-2 (4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; ² Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.)
3. Invest in people’s life. Galatians 5:14 (¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.)
4. Offer help to people where necessary. Matthew 25:40 (⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.)
5. Always seek the wisdom of God. Proverb 16:16 (¹⁶ How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!)
6. Be hospitable in all you do. Hebrews 13:2 (² Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.)
7. Learn to always forgive people in life. Matt 11:25 (²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.)
8. Create an atmosphere to worship God. Galatians 5:24-25 (²⁴ And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. ²⁵ If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.)
9. Be Thankful always. 1Tessalonian 5:18-19(¹⁸ In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. ¹⁹ Quench not the Spirit.)
10. Preach the Word of God to save others. Matthew 28:19-20 (¹⁹ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.)

Conclusion:

Christianity is a way of life, not just a religion. Don’t play with your faith. Always remember that your salvation was paid for with the blood of the only begotten son of God.  Please guide your salvation with fear and trembling. Philippines 2:12 (¹² Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.)
