LEAVE IT IN THE HANDS OF GOD.

TEXT: Joshua 3:5-7; Mathew 11:27-30
Joshua 3:5-7 – 5 And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify[a] yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.”
6 Then Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, “Take up the ark of the covenant and cross over before the people.”
So they took up the ark of the covenant and went before the people.
7 And the LORD said to Joshua, “This day I will begin to exalt[b] you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.

Mathew 11:27-30 – 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am [a]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Definition: To leave something in the hands of God is letting God take care of things, handling over that situation beyond your control to God and letting God take over completely. He alone has solution to all problems of life.
Introduction: God is ready to carry your burden if you let Him, all it takes is for you to hand them over to Him. You cannot say how tomorrow will look like, therefore, let the owner of tomorrow handle your problems for you.
I. What to hand over to God:
1. That situation that you think there is no solution
2. Those worries of life that is almost tormenting your life
3. That sadness in your life that is taking away the joy of your life
4. That condition in your life that has created in you perpetual anger, hatred and enmity
5. That situation that have created unrest and sickness in your life
What to Note:
a. God is the solution to all problems and situations of life, so, leave it in God’s hands.
b. When that problem comes and with all your efforts, you cannot find solution to the problem, leave it in the hands of God.
c. When you lose hope and it looks as if God does not answer your prayer, leave it in God’s hands. Answer is close.
d. When it seems that the world has rejected you and all hope is lost and there is no way forward, leave it in the hands of God.

II. Why you must leave it in the hands of God:
1. God sees the darkest situation of your life. John 8:12
John 8:12 – 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
2. No matter how tough or hard things may be, God still speaks and He is speaking to you right now. Jeremiah 32:27
Jeremiah 32:27 – 27 “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
3. Whatever the situation or problems you face, you will not die in them. God will still answer. Judges 16:22
Judges 16:22 – 22 However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven.
4. After whatever storm you are in, there will always be peace. Mark 4:39
Mark 4:39 – 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace,[a] be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
5. Your tomorrow will still be better. Job 8:7
Job 8:7 – Though your beginning was small,
Yet your latter end would increase abundantly.
Conclusion & Prayer – Psalm 121:1-8
God is ever ready to help all, all he ask of you is to put your trust in Him – Psalm25:1-2; Psalm 125:1-2
Psalm 121:1-8
1I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to [a]be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your [b]keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall [c]preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Psalm25:1-2 – 1To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in You;
Let me not be ashamed;
Let not my enemies triumph over me.
Psalm 125:1-2 –
1Those who trust in the LORD
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So the LORD surrounds His people
From this time forth and forever.
