THE GLORY THAT CREATES SIGNS AND WONDERS

TOPIC: THE GLORY THAT CREATES SIGNS AND WONDERS
TEXT: Genesis 1:1-3; Joshua 3:5-17; Isaiah 8:18; Acts 4:13-14.
Definitions:
A. What is glory?
1. Glory naturally means splendor, power, brightness, majesty, the infinite power and perfection of God.
2. Glory means the manifestation of God’s presence and power as perceived by people in their lives . That is God’s presence, power, and beauty, that is seen manifest in the lives of His children.
B. What are signs and wonders?
Signs and wonders are special miracles that “signify” that something miraculous is going on. They are always intended in making people “wonder” about important things instead of remaining numb to them.
What to note:
A. In the Bible, signs and wonders include:
1. Miraculous Healing, raising the dead, giving sight, etc.
2. Speaking in tongues
3. Prophesying – telling the future.
B. Method of Signs and Wonders
1. By the “laying on of hands” of those empowered
2. By prayer by those empowered
Please note that part of the purpose of signs and wonders is to prove the existence of God and His power, and that Jesus Christ is His Son. Also to show that there is Power in the Word of God and that Name Jesus. Hallelujah!
C. The life of a man that must carry the glory that creates signs and wonders:
1. must know Jesus and live a holy life.
2. must build a strong biblical study live (he must know the scriptures).
3. must learn to pray at all times and be a man of faith (he must be very prayerful and live the life of faith).
4. must learn to pray with fasting and prayer when seeking the face of God.
5. must understand the secret and power of night vigil (he must not be a sleeping type)
D. Practical
1. Moses. Exodus 7:1-3
2. Elijah. 1Kings 17:1
3. Isaiah. Isaiah 8:18
4. Jesus. Acts 10:38
5. The apostles. Acts 5:12-16
6. Me and you. ISAIAH 8:18; MARK 16.:17-18
Conclusion:
Read Acts 4:13-24
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
Note these three things:
1. They saw that Peter and John were untrained, unlearned uneducated.
2. They saw the evidence of the miraculous healing of the man at the beautiful gate (he was standing with them)
3. Then they realize that Peter and John had been with Jesus Christ.
How close are you with Jesus?
